  4.      These  are  the  official  Lotus  driver  and   installation 
  5. programs  which allow the diskette version of 1-2-3 to be used on 
  6. the PCjr with either a color or black & white monitor.  I checked 
  7. them  with the Norton Utility but found no indication  that  they 
  8. were copyrighted, so to the best of my knowledge they are not.

  10. THINGS TO NOTE
  11.  
  12.      *  This only works with DOS 2.1 and version 1A of 1-2-3
  13.  
  14.      *  The PCjr must have a minimum of 256 KB  of  memory.   You 
  15. don't need to have a two disk drive system, but it helps.
  16.      
  17.      *  Once  installed on a 1-2-3 System  disk,  Tutorial  disk, 
  18. and  PrintGraph  disks,  the  same disks cannot be used on  a  PC 
  19. without reinstalling the origional driver programs.
  20.  
  21.      *  If  you add these programs to the Lotus Utility disk  and 
  22. run  the  setup  routine,  it  overwrites  the  origional  driver 
  23. programs  and  you'll loose them.   So don't do that  unless  you 
  24. never  want to run your programs on a PC again.    Alternatively, 
  25. keep the PCjr programs on a seperate disk.

  27.      *  It will only work with with the monitor in the 80  column 
  28. display  mode.   However,  you may have trouble with the MODE  80  
  29. approach  (I  did  with  a  Legacy,   but  was  successful   with 
  30. LEGACY.COM).   So  try  alternative programs for getting  the  80 
  31. column display until you find one that works.

  34. HOW TO INSTALL
  35.  
  36.      The  installation  is  menu  driven.    Boot  up,   put  the 
  37. installation programs in the A:  drive and type "JRCOLOR"  if you 
  38. have  a  RGB monitor or ""JRB&W" for  monochrome.     Follow  the 
  39. directions on the screen.
